It’s Christmas time
Open your heart now
This is the time for us to give
The world needs love now
So live and let live, families all here
The spirit is good cheer, the sound of carolers
Ringing sweet in my ear, everything is all fine
You know why, it’s Christmas time,
Oh how much joy it is at Christmas time
The spirit of giving is in our lives
Oh, oh how much joy it brings to see the ones you love
This year’s gonna be the best Christmas”
Yes friends, it is Christmas time again, and this year our Christmas Carols on 8th of Dec 2007 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m followed by dinner. we welcome you for this time of fellowship, fun and Joy. onfirm your participations to contact@fmpbprofessionals.org.
The first 10 or so songs sounds like a rundown from the two albums of my favourite Christmas-carol singer: Neil Diamond.
I am from South Africa. As we are in the Southern Hemisphere, we celebrate Christmas during summer of course. We have a carol here called Somerkersfees, which has become very popular. It was written by a singer-songwriter and poet, Koos du Plessis, who died in 1984. A few weeks ago I decided to translate the song into English. You are welcome to take a look on my blog at http://mykopop.wordpress.com/2007/11/23/a-summers-christmas/
Inside my posting, you will find a link to another site where you can get an mp3 of the song in Afrikaans.
